Flat Fee Services
At Essex Law Firm, we have worked to provide clear pricing for our legal services. For the majority of our services, we provide a flat fee that is quoted and agreed upon upfront at your consultation, you will know the exact cost of your legal defense before we begin. No surprises later. This allows you to budget for your legal needs and encourages open communication without fear of a running meter.
When Our Hourly Rate Applies
Some matters are too unpredictable to set a flat fee. For these complex situations, or for the services that extend beyond an initial flat fee scope, our standard hourly rate is $425/hour and requires an agreed upon retainer.
Our hourly rate is often used for:
Ongoing representation in complex or multi-stage administrative matters.
Conducting extensive witness interviews.
Preparing for and attending depositions.
Representation at administrative or court hearings.
Other complex legal services as discussed and mutually agreed upon in your engagement letter.
